During His mortal life, Jesus performed mighty miracles such as:
Healing the sick
Raising the dead
Causing the lame to walk, the blind to see, and the deaf to hear
Cured all manner of diseases
Cast out devils
Merry Christmas to all of you out there and in here. Today is the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in the most humble of circumstances, but he rose above all things. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. May you all find peace in Him today and always. He is the reason for the season.
“For Unto Us a Child is Born”
The prophet Isaiah prophesied “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
Elohim, God our Father, gave us a gift, the gift of His Only Begotten Son, even Jesus Christ. Christ gave us gifts:
1. Unlimited capacity to love
2. Repentance
3. Forgiveness
4. Resurrection
5. Opportunity for Eternal Life
“For this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).
Christ’s sacrifice was a self-sacrifice. Christ’s greatest gifts to us – His life and sacrifice. Shall we not do likewise? Give our lives and sacrifice worldly things for things of a greater.
The Father GAVE His only begotten Son.
The Son GAVE His own life.
We can GIVE our time and talents and love.
” And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God” (D&C 14:7)
At this Christmas season, let’s us all be truly grateful for our country, the United States of America and its motto: “In God We Trust.”
We can demonstrate our trust in God by praying to Him constantly throughout the day, prayerfully reading and studying His word through the holy scriptures: Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and true Prophets.
